We’re half way through the second week of the semester already! I’m actually really liking this semester because I’m only taking 12 credits; if you recall I was taking 18 credits last semester and it hurt my heart and my body and my head a lot. Twelve is a breeze and I love it.
I justified this 12 credit semester by taking on 35-40 hours of work a week. I figured, I could be making some money instead of just spending it all!
I got a job at H&R Block as a CSP for the tax season; I’m really just a glorified secretary. With this job, I get full access to tall of the tax classes, so I’m thinking of becoming a tax pro. Myabe? We’ll see.
I don’t really know what I want to do with my life so I figured I’d just dabble in a few different things until I find something that clicks with me.
I would highly recommend this job, especially if you’re just looking for a seasonal job to earn some quick cash. You can work up to 40 hours a week and I get paid $10 an hour starting when minimum wage in Wisconsin is $7.60 or some ridiculous amount like that. Therefore, it’s a super nice job as a college student! It’s something that I don’t have to worry about for the summer and I just have to power through it for 3 months.
I’m also still in Tri Sigma, which is becoming more of my life as I’m being given more and more responsibility. I really like taking on responsibility in things though; if I’m involved in an Org, I want to contribute to it.
I’m also still trying to go strong with my health and fitness goals, which is hard since i’m so busy. I think as long as I can get into the gym 3 to 4 times a week for around 40 minutes and I can hold myself accountable for food, I’m good. This is a really important part of my life and I want to hold myself accountable to it.
That’s pretty much all that’s going on in my life, I’ll of course update as more comes along. My next post is actually going to be about a big change I have planned!
Give me a quick update on your lives. I’d love to hear!
